Human Health Care

“My favorite school subject would definitely be Chemistry, but then again I also like Biology. I like both of these classes because I want to have a career involved with the two by incorporating how chemistry works on the human body. For example, health care is a field I am looking to go into.”

Thanksgiving and Chuseok

Chuseok, a holiday that brings families together to celebrate and respect ancestors, just passed. However, as a Korean-American living in Virginia my family rarely gathers to celebrate. Instead, we get together in November and celebrate Thanksgiving.

Chuseok

A Happy Family
Together at last
It's Chuseok

The full moon shines upon us
with a curve as full as our stomachs and blessed lives

Bowls of Songpyeon
white, green, and pink
decorate tables
and dot lives with color and sweetness

The cousins giggle excitedly while
the relatives smile appreciatively.
Mothers are united with daughters and
fathers are united with sons.

A Happy Family
Together at last

It's Chuseok

What AP Bio Doesn't Teach Me

“AP bio?”
(Laughter)
“I now know how and why things happen but I don’t get how and why things happen; my life decisions, can we make a class on that already?”

“I try not to sleep in class though, it’s hard; if the class were about something more interesting…”

EXO: KPOP Phenomenon Stereotypes

So you know, a lot of people have this stereotype that all KPOP boy groups are gay, but then that is not true! I mean yes I do admit that there are some gay guys that actually look gay, but then you can't say that EVERY kpop group is like that. I hope people would stop having stereotypes against EXO just because they are a male kpop group.
One of the biggest stereotypes is because they are a boy idol group, they probably can't sing or rap or even make their own songs, so the only thing they can do is dance. Some people believe the only reason why EXO is famous is because people like gay feminine guys, but that is NOT TRUE.
So please stop having stereotypes against them!
