The word “sophomore” comes from a synthesis of two Greek words
respectively meaning “wise” and “dull.” Indeed, my high school sophomore year
was full of diverse experiences. There were times when my wise decisions
yielded good outcomes, ranging from academics to relationships with other
people. Then there were the times of dismal failure, when I bitterly blamed
myself for utter foolishness. But both the pleasant and thorny memories I will
hold dear to my heart, and cherish as another thread in the long tapestry I
call my life. Two more years left until college….
